Rafa Nadal was already guaranteed a semi-final spot in the London 2015 ATP Finals but that didn't stop him fighting all the way in his last round robin match
Nadal got off to a great start playing fellow Spaniard David Ferrer taking a 3-1 lead only to be broken back to 3-3. Nadal again took a 6-5 lead in the set and although he saved 3 BP at 0-40 down he did eventually lose his serve which brought the first tie-break of the tournament into fruition.
Ferrer took a 3-0 lead in the tie-break and never looked back taking the set 7-2. David though hasn't won a match this week and Rafa was not about to give up his unbeaten record. Nadal broke in the 8th game of the set and served out to love to level the match.
A mammoth 1st game in the 3rd set went the way of Ferrer in a big hold and the match was tight all the way through the set until Rafa managed to get a 9th game break of serve. He serve it out easily to record a 6-7 6-3 6-4 win.
Nadal finishes top of the group with 3 wins out of 3.... his reward you may ask? a match in Saturday's semi-finals against Novak Djokovic!!!! Lets hope Rafa hasn't used up all his energy and can play a decent match against Novak!
Tonight sees Andy Murray v Stan Wawrinka playing to secure the fourth and final semi-final spot tomorrow and a match against Roger Federer
