Luke Bambridge at the end of 2014 was about to break into the ATP top 500 and hopefully push on. Unfortunately it failed to happen and in fact fell back after a lean year.
However this week the 20 year old Brit has reached the ITF Qatar Furtures final and has the chance to end the 2015 season on a high and collect good ranking points.
Bambridge was ranked just outside the ITF junior top 20 at best and has junior wins over Noah Rubin, Coric, Garin so he has the pedigree to go well at senior level.
Luke is also a very good doubles player and British tennis fans are hoping Bambridge can keep focused and improve his consistency at ITF level ready for ATP Challengers in 2016. He will turn 21 in January and needs to start kicking on with his career in order to maximise his potential. Weeks like he has had in Qatar this week will help his confidence for the new season
