We found out a few weeks back that Jamie Murray and John Peers would be ending their partnership after the ATP Doubles Finals and today after squandering many match points and winning positions to lose 7-6 6-7 14-16 to the top seeds Mike and Bob Bryan.
The Brit Aussie pairing had a 5-3 lead in the 2nd set tie-break before losing 4 points in a row and also choked at 9-5 up in the champions tie-break losing 4 MP in a row and eventually losing it 14-16 and going out of the tournament
Its been a brilliant season for Jamie & John who have reached successive Grand Slam finals in 2015 as well as numerous ATP titles together. There is obviously something amiss in the partnership and I am sure we all wish them the best in their new partnerships in 2016.
Jamie will obviously now train on the clay and get ready for the Davis Cup final against Belgium next week.
