Andy Murray started his ATP Finals campaign with a comfortable 6-4 6-4 win over tricky opponent David Ferrer.
The British player was always in control of the match however an early break in the 2nd set for his Spanish opponent forced Andy to fight hard to regain momentum before wrapping the match up comfortably.
Murray has been practising a lot on clay last week in preparation for the Davis Cup final but he showed he can transition with ease and looked very at home on the indoor courts of the O2.
Tonight the other match in the group takes place with Rafa Nadal taking on Stan Wawrinka...... this could be the closest match of the week so far.
